Ἀπολογία Σωκράτους
Պլատոն · Մ.թ.ա. 4-րդ դար · Հին փիլիսոփայություն
In 399 BC, Socrates stands trial in Athens, accused of corrupting the youth and not believing in the city's gods. Instead of begging for mercy, he defends his life of questioning and declares that the unexamined life is not worth living.
Plato's account of the trial is one of the most moving texts in the history of philosophy.
