Евгений Онегин
Eugene Onegin, a bored young dandy from St. Petersburg, inherits his uncle's country estate. There he meets the poet Lensky and the dreamy Tatyana Larina, who falls in love with him and writes him a letter. Onegin coldly rejects her — a mistake he will understand only years later.
Pushkin's novel in verse is the founding work of modern Russian literature and an inexhaustible source of quotations.
