গীতাঞ্জলি
A collection of devotional songs in which the poet speaks directly to God — as a friend, a lover, a master, a mystery hidden in everyday life. The songs move from joy to longing, from the beauty of nature to the thought of death, with a simplicity that hides great depth.
The English version, translated by Tagore himself, earned him the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913, making him the first non-European laureate. A book that introduced the spiritual voice of India to the whole world.
